Snickers work trousers are one part of a three-piece system: the trousers, the kneepads that slot into them and the holster pockets that clip on. Buying them as a system is what makes them work, so it is worth knowing how the pieces connect before choosing.
The trousers themselves are cut for movement. The stretch models use four-way stretch fabric with pre-bent legs and gusset seams, so they flex at the knee and hip without pulling at the seat. Wear points are the failure points on any work trouser, and Snickers reinforce theirs with Cordura at the knees, leg endings and pocket edges. The Floorlayer Rip-Stop models add holster-style floor pockets and rip-stop panels for trades that spend the day at floor level.
The knee pockets are the part most people underuse. Snickers call the design KneeGuard: the pocket positions a certified kneepad over the knee and holds it there as you move, and the combination is certified to EN 14404 — the standard for knee protection in kneeling work. The pads are sold separately: the D3O Lite Floorlayer Kneepads we stock are the thin, flexible option for all-day kneeling, and the standard Ergonomic Kneepads suit general site work. Trousers without pads pass no knee protection standard, so if you kneel for a living, order both together.
Holster pockets are the third piece. On models like the 4-Way Stretch Trousers with Holster Pockets they carry fixings, drivers and a tape within reach, and they tuck away or come off entirely when the job does not need them. The Carpenter's Pouch clips on the same way for a fuller tool set.
Sizing: Snickers use a European size system where the number encodes waist and leg length together, and most styles come in short, regular and long legs. Our product pages list the leg-length option next to the size. If you are between sizes, size for the waist — the stretch fabric covers the rest, and the leg length can be matched exactly.
If you are ordering for a team, agree the fit on one pair first. Sizes are consistent across the range, so once one person's size is right, the rest of the order usually is too.
